HybridIRC began its journey in 2017, founded by a passionate group of volunteers dedicated to building a reliable and dynamic IRC network. Their vision was to create a space where communities could connect, share, and grow seamlessly.

After two years of development and refinement, HybridIRC officially launched in January 2019. Since then, it has remained committed to providing a user-friendly, secure platform for communication, fueled by the enthusiasm and support of its vibrant user base.

As a volunteer-driven organization, HybridIRC offers free chat services to the online community. Our mission is to deliver top-quality chat solutions backed by a team of dedicated individuals who freely give their time and expertise to ensure the best possible experience for our users.

Since our launch, we have continued to grow and proudly rank among the top 10 IRC networks on Netsplit.de. Unlike a faceless corporation, we make no profit from this service. Instead, we are a group of passionate geeks who love helping people connect and communicate. What started as the vision of a few friends has flourished into a popular, thriving network—thanks to the support of our amazing community and sponsors.

To power our network, we use InspIRCd and Atheme services, which we believe are among the best solutions available today. These tools reflect our commitment to quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
