How do I group a nickname to my account?

If you want to use multiple nicknames while keeping your channel access, vHost, and other service settings, you can group a new nickname to your existing account. You can group up to 4 additional nicknames (for a total of 5). Follow these steps:

Steps to group a nickname

1. Identify to your main account: Ensure you are logged into the account you want to group the nickname under:

/msg NickServ IDENTIFY youraccountname password

2. Change to the nickname you want to group: Type the following command to switch to the new nickname:

/nick newnick

3. Group your new nickname to your existing account: This links the nickname to your current account so it shares the same access and settings:

/msg NickServ GROUP

4. (Optional) Remove an unwanted nickname from your account: If you no longer want a grouped nickname, you can ungroup it. Once ungrouped, it will be available for others to register:
