About Us
HybridIRC began its journey in 2017, founded by a passionate group of volunteers dedicated to creating a reliable and dynamic IRC network. Their vision was to foster a space where communities could connect, share, and grow.
After two years of development and refinement, HybridIRC officially opened to the public in January 2019. Since then, it has been committed to providing a user-friendly and secure platform for communication, driven by the support and enthusiasm of its vibrant user base.
HybridIRC is a volunteer organization that provides free chat services to the online community. We are committed to delivering quality chat solutions. Our network is staffed with a group of dedicated and committed individuals who freely give their time to ensure that we provide the best service possible. We are not a faceless corporation; we make no money from our service. We are a group of geeks who want to help people communicate. HybridIRC started as the vision of a few friends and, with the help of our sponsors, has grown into a popular and thriving service.
To power our network, we use InspIRCd and Atheme services. We believe these are among the best solutions available today, aligning with our commitment to quality and reliability.
