How to Register a Nickname
To register a nickname, type the following command in your IRC client:
/msg NickServ REGISTER password email
You will receive an email with further instructions to complete the process.
Why Has My Nickname Expired or Been Dropped?
- Your nickname will expire 365 days after registering and verifying it if it is not used within that time.
- Nicknames may also be dropped if:
- A temporary email address was used during registration and flagged as such. - The nickname or email address was associated with abuse or violations of the network's rules.
To avoid losing your nickname, ensure you use a valid, permanent email address and log in regularly.
